ECLIPSE SURGICARE
We hope your visit to Eclipse Surgicare will be as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Therefore, we ask you to please follow these instructions.


PRE-ADMISSION TESTING
Certain tests may be performed several days prior to the day of your procedure. Your physician's office staff will instruct you as to when and where these are to be done.


ABOUT YOUR DIET AND MEDICATIONS
Unless your physician tells you otherwise please do not eat or drink anything after midnight the day of your scheduled procedure. If you are taking medications you should take them with a small sip of water the morning of the procedure. If you take insulin, anticoagulants, aspirin, or MAO Inhibitors (mood elevators), follow the instructions of your physician.

PRE-ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Please remove all nail polish and makeup.
• Please do not bring any valuables or jewelry.
• Please bathe or shower the night before or the morning of your procedure.
• Please refrain from smoking on the day of your procedure.
• Please refrain from alcoholic beverages 24 hours prior to your procedure.
• Please notify your physician if you develop a fever, rash, upper respiratory infection, or diarrhea before your procedure.

THE DAY OF YOUR PROCEDURE
Your physician has scheduled you to arrive at the time noted on the back of this brochure. Eclipse Surgicare staff will make every effort to contact you the working day before your procedure to confirm your time of arrival and any further instructions.

ON YOUR ARRIVAL
An anesthesia provider will interview you before your procedure if you are having general, spinal, or monitored anesthesia (twilight sedation). He/she will answer and discuss questions regarding your anesthetic.
Prior to your sedation, you will be asked about allergies and use of medications and drugs.

WHAT TO BRING
Wear comfortable loose fitting, washable clothes and casual shoes. A gown will be provided.

YOUR TRANSPORTATION
Please make arrangements for someone to drive you home on the day of your procedure. You will not be permitted to drive yourself home or take public transportation alone afterward.

AFTER THE PROCEDURE
Your own physician will prescribe how you should care for yourself after leaving Eclipse Surgicare and may prescribe medication, diet limits, exercise or other procedures, which will speed your recovery. You should call your physician's office immediately if you feel your recovery is not normal, or call 911 and go to the nearest emergency room.
